Bela and Moira in the bedroom
BELA- Oh Moira! You’ve been baptised, and you would still let somebody slap you?
MOIRA- No!
BELA- So you hit them back, if you can!
MOIRA- That’s what everyone else does. I’m supposed to take it! No way!
BELA- You have your faith, and we have ours!
MOIRA- If that were true, nobody would be baptised.
ALEX- Baptism isn’t for everyone.
MOIRA- Nobody’s perfect! Nobody’s perfect!

Moira and Bela are sisters, they live in the heart of a gypsy community in Castelo Branco. Moira attends the Evangelical church daily, led by a gypsy pastor. Watching over someone newly baptised, at home, they discuss the rules and meanings of this recent religious choice.
